Erik the Red, Leif Erikson, and Marco Polo:

This is a two-lesson unit by Reading Through History. The download includes a lesson about Erik the Red and Leif Erickson which covers the Viking discoveries of Greenland and North America. The second lesson explains the life and travels of Marco Polo, as well as dispelling several common myths about the explorer. Each reading is followed up by a set of student activities to gauge reading comprehension, content retention, and vocabulary skills. Each lesson also contains a student response essay question.
