If there was a Mount Rushmore for Reading Through History, Jake would have to be George Washington… the founding father, if you will. Jake Henderson was born and raised in Enid, OK, where he lived until attending college. He graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK where he earned a BA in History Education. He also has a Master’s Degree in History Education from SWOSU, which he earned in 2004. If Jake is the George Washington on Reading Through History’s Mount Rushmore, then Robert must be Thomas Jefferson. Just as Jefferson helped mold and shape the nation we live in, Robert has helped mold and shape the vision of Reading Through History. Robert was raised in Butler, OK. He graduated from SWOSU where he earned a BA in History Education. He has taught U.S. History, World History, U.S. Government, Geography, Oklahoma History, World Studies, Art, and Music Appreciation at the middle and high school levels since 1999. He currently teaches at Blanche Thomas High School in Sentinel, Oklahoma. Robert does research for Reading Through History, fact-checking & editing. He writes historical fiction, proofreads, edits some more, and manages the Reading Through History Blog, as well as our Facebook content. You might call him a jack-of-all-trades.
